BD Agro erects its first biogas plant in Poland
The German manufacturer of biogas systems BD Agrorenewables GmbH & Co. KG, which is part of Big Dutchman International GmbH, wants to complete its first biogas plant on Polish territory in the region Zielona Gora by the end of this year. After the projecting phase, the construction works are now going ahead for the erection of a biogas plant of the type UniFerm, a BD Agro solution for the capacity range from 250 to 780 kWel.
The 250 kW system will be affiliated to an existing pig farm. Apart from pig slurry, however, other substrates will be also be fermented. The majority of the produced electricity will be used for the operation of the pig farm; the surplus will be fed into the national grid.
