The wind turbine manufacturer Senvion has signed definitive agreements to acquire the production facilities for nacelles and infrastructure in Baramati, India, as well as the wind turbine inventory and service business of Kenersys India Private Limited.

The Danish consultancy company Ramboll has acquired the German consultancy specialists BBB Umwelttechnik and CUBE Engineering GmbH to position itself for the expanding onshore wind market.
Specialist for heavy transports Mammoet Wind transported the world’s longest wind turbine blade from Danish Lunderskov to Aalborg over a distance of more than 200 km. The blade was transported from a pilot plant of LM Wind to the Blaest Blade Test Center.
The Denmark-based independent service provider Connected Wind Services A/S (CWS) has been acquired by German utility company EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG. For EnBW this is a step to further expand its renewable energy business.
The global wind and solar company Mainstream Renewable Poweris investing $177.5 million of equity in the pan-African renewable energy generation platform Lekela Power, of which $117.5 will come from other investors such as the private grant making foundation Rockefeller Brothers Fund ($ 10 million), while $60 million will come from Mainstream itself.
The manufacturer Nordex launches two new turbines – one for sites with moderate wind conditions and one for sites with light winds. Both turbines have a 20% higher-rated output than their sister models and therefore can produce an up to 12% higher annual energy yield.
The wind turbine manufacturer Nordex Group has secured a 243 MW wind turbine order for the United States. Nordex will supply 81 AW125/3000 wind turbines for a wind farm in Texas.
The Swedish energy company Vattenfall has bought Aberdeen Renewable Energy Group’s 25% share of the European Offshore Wind Deployment Centre (EOWDC) also known as “Aberdeen Offshore Wind Farm”. With this the company now fully owns the project, which was developed together with AREG.
Terna Energy SA, a Greek renewable energy company, has ordered a total of 10 Nordex wind turbines for two wind parks in Greece. Both sites are located in a strong-wind region near Athens.
