Vestas wins order for 105 MW in Ukraine

Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas Wind Systems A/S has been awarded a contract for a 105 MW wind project in Ukraine. The DTEK Group has ordered 35 V112-3.0 MW turbines that constitute the second stage of the Botievo project, located in the coastal area of the Zaporozhye region, near the village of Botievo. The renewables industry in Poland, waiting for two years in vain for a new renewable energy sources act, was struck last week by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, who gave some quite negative comments on supporting green electricity sources.
