Solar Millennium increases its turnover by 529 %

03.03.2010: Solar Millennium AG announced on 23rd February that the turnover of the group grew by 529 % in the accounting year 2008/2009.

The company managed to increase its turnover from € 32 million in the previous year to € 201.8 million in 2009. This includes an extraordinary effect of € 48 million. The EBIT quadrupled to € 43.1 million including the extraordinary effect or € 31.1 million without it. The 2009 results are expected to generate additional liquidity inflow of more than € 100 million.

The good result can, to a large extent, be attributed to sales of shares in various project companies. The remaining stakes of 25 % in each of the power plants Andasol 1 and 2 were sold to the Spanish ACS/Cobra Group. There were also sales of shares in the Andasol 3 power plant, which is still under construction.
For the current accounting year, Solar Millennium aims at a turnover of € 350 million.
