Whisky biofuel to power cars

At the Edinburgh Napier University researchers developed a new biofuel that is made of whisky by-products.It uses the two main by-products of the malt whisky production “pot ale” and “draff”. Pot ale is the liquid from the copper stills while draff comes from the spent grains.

Centrotherm completes silicon plant in Asia

Centrotherm photovoltaics AG has started up a large-scale polysilicon plant in Taiwan. The construction was designed for Taiwan Polysilicon Corp. (TPSI) and has an annual production capacity of 5,000 tons.
