Mirroxx is now Industrial Solar

Mirroxx GmbH has changed its name to Industrial Solar GmbH. The management took this decision in order to reflect the company's focus on industrial applications and to indicate its continuing growth within the international marketplace. Industrial Solar GmbH concentrates on the enormous market for the generation of process heat and specialises in providing industrial solutions including the air-conditioning of large buildings by using its innovative Fresnel collector technology.

The potential for process heat from solar power is enormous. Process heat accounts for approximately two-thirds of the energy used in industry, whilst at the same time, the energy demand to air-condition buildings is constantly increasing worldwide. Solar cooling can help reduce your demand for electricity, especially peak loads during summer months, and also contributes to the protection of the environment.

Industrial Solar GmbH provides a technology for the cost-effective production of solar process heat and air-conditioning using Fresnel collectors directly on-site.

The collector is a modular design built to the highest quality, which offers superior levels of surface efficiency. This enables temperatures of up to 400°C to be generated, which makes them exceptionally suitable for the most diverse of industrial manufacturing processes and also for driving absorption refrigerators. In addition, the high operating temperature of up to 400°C makes it possible to drive ORC turbines or steam-driven motors. This technology becomes even more appealing when combined with absorption refrigerators and other process heat equipment to create cogeneration or polygeneration systems.

With a thermal output of around 100 kW up to several MW, our collector fills the gap between small solar thermal collectors and large-scale solar power plants.

Industrial Solar GmbH formerly Mirroxx GmbH was initially formed as a spin-off of PSE AG under the umbrella of the Fraunhofer ISE and has specialised in concentrated solar-thermal technology since 1999. The first collector was installed in 2005 and, due to its efficient design and the company's knowledge, has been fitted on roof tops and successfully integrated into the energy systems of multiple customers worldwide, reducing their power consumption.

Siemens Gamesa has secured a new order in India from Ayana Renewable Power Six Private Limited to supply a 302MW project, providing another boost to the country’s wind energy drive. A total of 84 units of the SG 3.6-145 wind turbines will be installed for the project in the Gadag district, Karnataka State.
