Valentin Software presents a new generation of planning software T*SOL 2016 and PV*SOL premium 2016

The software company Valentin Software from Berlin has adjusted and reworked its planning and simulation programs T*SOL and PV*SOL to suit current technical developments. Both will be presented at the Intersolar in Munich.

With the new versions, planners and operators will be able to design their solar systems even faster, simulate precise yield calculations and thus also carry out exact economic calculations while taking state support mechanisms into account.

The version PV*SOL premium 2016 offers the ability to read in layouts, floor plans and screenshots from web-based satellite maps (e.g. Google Earth) directly into the 3D visualisation and thus integrate them into a project at the right scale. The dimensions, orientation and distances of 3D objects between oneanother (buildings, trees) can thus be easily determined without an on-site visit. By redrawing a layout, the program can automatically recognise and set up standard 3D objects. It then adjusts most of the dimensions, orientations and position of an object to this layout. “By implementing this innovation we have been able to give our customers a considerable saving of time when planning a PV system,” says company head Dipl.-Ing. Steffen Lindemann.

Own consumption increases viability

The more the feed-in tariff drops, the more important it is to take the own consumption of PV electricity into account when looking at the viability of a photovoltaics system. As own consumption may also be increased by the storage of PV electricity in battery systems, the scaling of the battery system also plays an important role. PV*SOL provides a valuable tool here, both for the right scaling and the determination of viability. All PV*SOL variants are available in the languages German, English, Italian, Polish and Spanish. Project reports may additionally also be created in many other languages.

A new feature of T*SOL 2016 is the output of an energy label. Since 26th September 2015 the energetic labelling of heating units for room heating and hot water systems has been obligatory for all manufacturers, traders and craftsmen. T*SOL simulates the energy efficiency of solar thermally assisted heating systems and creates the combi-system label for direct output to a printer. Thus, every heating installer is able to create such a label for each individual system built. The comprehensive component database has been updated by Valentin Software in the new version. Valentin Software will be presenting its new products from 22nd to 24th June 2016 at the Intersolar Europe in Munich at stand A3.395. There will be live planning presentations at the stand several times a day, using the current program versions.
