39.5 MW Power Plant to be realised in Australia

A joint ventrue of WBHO and Phoenix Solar is going to build a 39.5 MW solar power plant in West Australia. The project will incorporate 1,500 Volt-technology, single axis tracking, and mono-crystalline PERC modules.

Phoenix Solar Pte Ltd, the Singapore based subsidiary of Phoenix Solar AG, has been awarded an order to design a 39.5 MWp photovoltaic power plant near Perth as partner in a joint venture established for the purpose of this project. The company will also be in charge of the offshore procurement of all vital components. The construction of the three phases of the plant, built on one site, will be managed and carried out by the other joint venture partner WBHO, a AUD 2 billion infrastructure contractor. The Notice to Proceed (NTP) is expected to be issued in August, 2017.

The project will incorporate leading edge solar technology resulting in a high-performance plant including 1,500 Volt-technology, single axis tracking, and mono-crystalline PERC modules. It was developed and will be owned by WestGen, a clean energy development company already operating a significant portfolio of advanced power projects in Western Australia. The solar energy produced by the plant will be used under a power purchase agreement by Kleenheat, a West Australian energy provider, diversifying into green electricity.

Acron-Sunmark solar collector field

The biggest solar district heating system in Germany will begin construction shortly. Arcon-Sunmark is responsible for building the turnkey project on behalf of Stadtwerke Ludwigsburg-Kornwestheim. The solar heating system will be operational by the end of 2019.
